The tech companies and US Chamber of Commerce were lobbying for the bill along with some pro immigrant organization. It is intended to hire "the most skilled workers." This literally translates to more opportunities for citizens from India and China. A lot of them have been backlogged. Since, the target of the bill is not diversifying the labor force but rather hiring the best, it is hard to criticize the bill I suppose. But, it DOES NOT help us.

Finally, the democrats and republicans agree on something and nothing good comes out of it.
