Can we build a New NEAPL?
Yes! But what is NEW Nepal? What would be NEW?

The CA election has showed that Nepalese are desperate for change no matter who brings about the change. Also, they are fed up with the old-generation.

This is the old-generation who doesn't have much idea about how  this complex modern world works and how can we as a poor small nation get as much as we can to develop ourselves as a prosperous society. Afterall, its not them who needs the future, its us and our children.
Therefore, first of all we need to keep those old and tired minds from making sick-decisions about the our future our nation's.

Second and most important, we need to root-out all the ill-practices in the society. We need to make sure that sick-ways of thinking do not pass from the old generation to our new generation. Most important, education should be the highest priority; we need to educate every single child born in Nepal and it should be made mandatory and free up to high-school (grade 10). This is the single-most long term investment a county like Nepal can do to develop as a prosperous society. We can't even produce all the food that our countrymen need, we need petroleum imported to keep our country running, we need all the technology borrowed. What do we get from exporting? Net trade benefit= negative? If we cannot be self-dependent on anything, we can never develop.

But how do we do that? Its up to the leaders who we have chosen to lead the change we are seeking. And if those leaders are not capable of working for their people's desire, we are always ready to kick them out!

Yugant, nice analysis. Definately Education should be the first priority as we all know "Education is the Key to Unlock the Doors of Opportunities". Hopefully the leaders of NEW NEPAL will follow the path of unselfishness and think bigger to develop our country.

By saying that i think we all nepalese people abroad should do what we can other than just being an observer, by supporting programs like "Penny For Pen" programs, "A Dollar a Month" programs, supporting rural schools like Himanchal Education Program and all.

We are done giving sarcastic views and response all the time in this fourm. Now its time to think positive, and think outside the  typical attitude box. Our country men have given their lives for a change....lets make it Happen.

Jai Nepal
